Chips, Table Fees & Government 30% TDS Tax Guide
How Table Fees Work
At Teen Patti Club, we believe in complete honesty. You never pay any joining fee to download or keep your account open. You can play free practice tables as much as you like.
When you join cash tables, our platform takes a very small fee (called table rake) of around 2.5% to 5% from the pot at the end of the round. This small amount pays for our fast cloud servers, anti-cheat security, and 24/7 customer service.
How the Government 30% TDS Tax Works (Simple Math)
Under Indian Income Tax Law (Section 194BA), the Government of India requires all real-money gaming apps to deduct 30% Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) only on your Net Winnings (Profits) when you withdraw.
The simple rule is:
Net Profit = Money You Take Out - Money You Added
Your own deposited money is NEVER taxed. You only pay tax on pure profit.
Example 1: You Won and Took Out Profit
- You added ₹1,000 to your game wallet.
- You played well and your wallet reached ₹2,500.
- You request a withdrawal of ₹2,500.
- Your Net Profit: ₹2,500 minus your ₹1,000 deposit = ₹1,500 profit.
- 30% TDS Tax: 30% of ₹1,500 = ₹450 (sent directly to the Indian tax department).
- Cash Sent to Your Bank: ₹2,500 - ₹450 = ₹2,050 lands directly in your bank account via UPI.
Example 2: Taking Out Your Own Deposit
- You added ₹500 to try the game.
- You decide to withdraw your ₹500 back without playing.
- Your Profit: ₹0.
- TDS Tax: ₹0.
- You receive your full ₹500 back with zero tax deduction.
